Privacy Policy

Effective 12 August 2026 · KM Secrets Ltd

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Krav Maga Secrets, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have tried to write it plainly rather than defensively. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

Who we are

KM Secrets Ltd, a company registered in Ireland under number IE784138, is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything to do with your data — questions, requests, complaints — email support@kravmagasecrets.net, or write to us at 169 Hamilton Road, London SE27 9SW, United Kingdom.

We are a small company and are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, so we have not appointed one. The address above reaches the people who actually handle these requests.

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, any special category data — health, injuries, medical conditions, beliefs, or anything similar. We do not carry out background checks or credit checks, and we do not buy personal data from anyone.

Cookies and similar technologies

Two cookies are strictly necessary and are set without asking, because the site cannot work without them: one keeps you logged in, and one remembers the language you chose. Neither is used to track you across other websites.

Our videos are hosted by Vimeo. The player is only loaded once you press play, and we load it with tracking switched off, so Vimeo does not set its analytics cookie on your device. The only cookies it sets are the ones its content network needs to deliver the video securely.

The only other thing we would set is advertising measurement, and we ask you a single yes-or-no question about it the first time you visit. If you say no, nothing is stored and nothing is sent to any advertiser — the site works exactly the same. You can change your answer at any time using the "Cookie choice" link at the bottom of our home page, and we will ask again at least every six months. Saying no later also deletes what was stored while you had said yes.

Emails we send you

Some emails are part of the service and are not optional while you have an account: your welcome and set-password email, password resets, receipts and renewal notices, and anything we must tell you about a change to the service or these policies. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

Separately, we may send you emails about new techniques, offers and news from Yann. We only send these if you have asked us to, or if you are an existing member and we are telling you about our own similar training content — and every one of them has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You can also just reply and ask us to stop. We do not pass your address to anyone else to market to you, and we do not send marketing on behalf of other companies. Legal basis: your consent, or our legitimate interest in telling our own members about our own content, whichever applies to you.

If you unsubscribe we keep a note that you did, so that we do not accidentally add you back. That note is the minimum needed — your address and the fact you opted out.

Who else processes your data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use these service providers, who process it only on our instructions:

We will disclose personal data if the law requires it, and we would tell you unless we were prohibited from doing so.

Sending data outside Europe

Some of the providers above are based in the United States. Where that is the case we rely on their certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where a provider is not certified. You can ask us which applies to a particular provider and we will tell you.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

Email support@kravmagasecrets.net to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month. We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or your request, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, which supervises us, at dataprotection.ie. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.

Automated decisions

We suggest techniques and themes based on your belt and what you have watched. That is a recommendation, not a decision about you: it does not affect your subscription, your access or your money. We do not make any automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and we do not profile you for advertising beyond the attribution described above.

Children

The service is for adults: you must be at least 18 to subscribe. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, tell us and we will delete it.

How we protect it

The site and app are served over HTTPS, passwords are stored as argon2id hashes, your login session is held in a cookie that JavaScript cannot read, and full card numbers never reach our systems. Access to the administration tools is limited to named staff accounts with individual passwords and role-based permissions. No system is perfect: if a breach occurs that puts you at risk, we will tell the Data Protection Commission within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay.

Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, and those sites have their own privacy policies which we do not control. Once you follow a link away from us, this policy no longer applies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change matters to you, we will tell you by email rather than relying on you noticing.
